Arizona’s Tax Incentive Just Became LAW: Effective January 2023 – $25M Available

Arizona has adopted a new tax credit for film and streaming TV production to attract productions that have typically gone to other states. Governor Doug Ducey allowed legislation HB 2156 to become law on Thursday July 7, 2022.

The program will provide a refundable credit worth 15 to 20 percent of the qualified production costs, plus additional bonuses for meeting certain criteria, up to another 7.5 percent.

“It’ll be good to put Arizona on the map again,” said state Rep. Mitzi Epstein, D-Tempe. “We have some beautiful places here that make stunning backdrops.”
